Life beyond the lab.
When I'm not teaching machines to see, here's what keeps me curious, grounded and recharged in San Francisco and beyond.
Photography
Vision is the day job, so seeing is the hobby too. I shoot the streets, fog and skylines of San Francisco — chasing light and geometry the way a sensor would.
The Outdoors
Weekends are for the Bay Area's trails and coastline — Marin headlands, Pacifica sunsets and the occasional Sierra escape to reset between sprints.
Reading & Research
Beyond papers, I read widely — systems design, philosophy of mind, and the odd sci-fi novel about machines that learn to see.
Tinkering
Side projects keep the craft sharp: little graphics demos, generative experiments, and gadgets that have no business existing.
Travel
Having studied and worked across India, Germany and the US, I love collecting places, languages and the occasional new favourite coffee.
Music & Coffee
A good playlist and a well-pulled espresso are non-negotiable inputs to the perception pipeline.
